Schmeichel: player of the month?
This season Peter Beagrie is involved in selecting the nPower Manager of the Month and Player of the Month for each of the three divisions in the Football League.
Sky Sports' Football League expert will be casting a close eye on all of the teams and all of the players and will share his views with the rest of the voting panel with the winners to be announced shortly.
Below, Peter gives his views on his star performers from the month of August, but he wants to hear YOUR opinions. Let us know your thoughts in the comments box at the bottom of the page.
And don't just tell us about your team. Tell us about the best players and teams you've seen visiting your ground in the last few weeks...
Here are Peter's thoughts:
CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: Everybody is talking about Neil Warnock. His QPR side are sitting pretty at the top, they're unbeaten, they go forward and they score goals. The summer signing Jamie Mackie has looked good and Adel Taarabt has also chipped in with goals and assists. Obviously you have to consider Dave Jones at Cardiff and Roy Keane at Ipswich as well, but I would also bring Kenny Jackett into the equation. Millwall have won three out of four with what is effectively a League One squad and have made a fine start to their Championship campaign. There's also an argument for Simon Grayson of Leeds and Paul Lambert of Norwich, who are also in the top seven after promotion. It's early doors, but they've done remarkably well.
CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: Steve Morison and James Henry of Millwall must be considered; the former for his goals and the latter for his assists. Jamie Mackie of QPR has scored goals and works hard, while the all-round play of Adel Taarabt must also be applauded. But for me, Kasper Schmeichel at Leeds has been absolutely outstanding. I've been fortunate to see him at close proximity on a couple of occasions, but he's my Player of the Month.
LEAGUE ONE MANAGER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: Sheffield Wednesday have kept the majority of their squad together and Peterborough have done incredibly well too, so Alan Irvine and Gary Johnson must be in the frame. I'd also consider Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, a young manager who has done incredibly well to get into this league and they've hit the ground running. However, he hasn't compromised his style of play and the team are scoring goals and going forward.
LEAGUE ONE PLAYER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: Oldham's Dean Furman has got to be in with a shout for this award. He has been given an opportunity by Paul Dickov and has scored a couple of absolute crackers, winning Goal of the Week on my column for two weeks in a row. He has been encouraged to get forward from midfield by his manager - and he has certainly done that! I'd also look at Jordan Rhodes of Huddersfield Town and Aaron McLean, who has thrived in a three-pronged attack at Peterborough United.
LEAGUE TWO MANAGER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: I won't put anybody else forward but Paul Buckle of Torquay. He truly is the outstanding candidate. I did their game at Bury for Soccer Saturday last season when they were on a long unbeaten run and I spoke to Paul about his side. His enthusiasm for his young players was coming out of every pore. At the start of the season most people were tipping them for mid-table, but he has got them believing they can do great things. I wish I'd believed him and tipped them to go up because they have started superbly!
LEAGUE TWO PLAYER OF THE MONTH
PETER SAYS: There have been some great individual performances so far, but I'm going to go for Adam Le Fondre of Rotherham, who just can't stop scoring goals. From Torquay you'd have to look at Nicky Wroe and Chris Zebroski, who have both been terrific. I also like the look of Shrewsbury Town's young-and-hungry striker Jake Robinson who has pace, good movement and an eye for goal.

Dom Askew, u clearly forget how much money u spent last season! More than QPR have spent this season, and Roy Keane managed 2nd half of the table, no wonder they wont give him any money this season, QPR are playing the best football in the league but i think Cardiff will win the league as they have an amazing strikeforce, QPR, Burnley, Boro, all fighting for 2nd and the rest is just too hard to predict! Oh and Barnsley were awful vs QPR they hit the post once and after that barely threatened

Only one consistent theme in the whole debate - nobody can see any merit outside their own team. As much as it pains me to say it as a Leeds fan - Warnock has to be manger of the month. To take a team like QPR to the top of the league is a great achievement. Can''t see it lasting but for the month, there can be no complaints. As for the player - Bothroyd is doing the business. Goals are what counts!

Cardiff City are the inform team along with QPR and and all of the named above. I can see the attacking force of Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chops (When fit) and Andy Keogh, along with the wingers of Whitts and Burkey, I can see us getting that Auto Promotion spot, and possibly getting the Title! Will be hard to stay up next season if we do get up there! We will need to build from the last 2-3seasons of hurt for us to get there.. BLUEBIRDS!!!!

Are you mad Cardiff don''t rely on one player other wise how''d they get to the play offs last season, certain of relegation seriously? and as a leeds fan you are fine one to talk what about jamaine becford for the last 3 seasons. But then again i do think Kasper Schmeichel deserves player of the month.

Henry Macfarlane (Queens Park Rangers fan) says...
Neil Warnock and Adel Tarrabt deserve the awards because Warnock has signed 10 players in the summer and has made them bond and play together beautifully. Tarrabt has been stunning in all of the the matches so far this season scoring 2 goals and 3 asists.

Graham Rogers (Leeds United fan) says...
Typical Cardiff supporter, knows nothing about football. Seriously you think Leeds and Leicester are going down, the only club certain of relegation is Cardiff. Leeds have a team that don''t depend on one player, unlike Cardiff. If you think for one minute Bellemy will give it all from a championship side then your living in the clouds. Leeds MOT

A breath of fresh air.Champions,Cardiff City, promoted,Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest.Relegated,Watford,Leicester City and Leeds United.

Neil Warnock has created a team spirit that showed against Derby last weekend. He has also brought in a number of players who have not cost a fortune.Yes we have rode our luck at times but the table never lies. For this reason Mr Neil Warnock deserves to be named Manager of The Month for the Championship along with Adel Taarabt Player of the month. There is not a better player playing in the Championship than Adel Taarabt.

Kasper Schmeichel free signing of the summer for me, everyone went on about david james moving to bristol city but Kasper has outshone him and proved that he is premiership quality and I hope that he is there with Leeds in the next few years. MOT

Shaun Derry should get a mention. Derry is never mentioned because he is under-estimated. The lad is hard working and wins the ball in every challenge, I''m glad Warnock has noticed that because no-one else has. That''s why Warnock and Derry should win both awards in the championship.

Simm Sanga (Coventry City fan) says...
Peter, are you actually being serious with kasper? adel tarrabt has been outstanding so far, and has been the best player by far in the league. Also, i think Ben Turner should be in with a shout, hes 21 and has kept 1 clean sheet, and got his first career goal.

Dom Askew (Ipswich Town fan) says...
Once again Roy Keane and Ipswich hardly get a mention. Has nobody noticed that he has lost half of he squad by being sold or injured and our bench is basically the youth team i think without doubt he deserves it without the resources that teams like QPR have. Also i belive that David Norris has definatly been the best player that i have watched in the Championship this season he has done well replacing Jon Walters as captain, and practically controlled games in midfield, just think that this reward of player of the month is all about goals and clean sheets not good preformences.
