Hereford United are to sign Portsmouth youngster Nick Jordan on loan and have also agreed a deal for a Championship goalkeeper.

The League One club are currently without a recognised keeper in their squad and manager Graham Turner has lined up a double deal.

Jordan is due to arrive from FA Cup winners Portsmouth and an unnamed Championship shot-stopper is also on his way to Edgar Street.

Turner told the club's official website: "We've made strides with goalkeepers. We'll be taking a young lad from Portsmouth by the name of Nick Jordan.

"He will sign for us and it looks likely that we'll take a Championship goalkeeper on a season-long loan - that's almost a done deal."

The Hereford manager also confirmed he is expecting to re-sign Toumani Diagouraga, who impressed on loan from Watford last season.

He added: "It also looks highly likely at this stage that Toumani will re-sign with us.

"We're still working on it, but we are now in intense talks with Toumani and his agent, and we are very close to concluding that one."
