Fortune: Rovers target?
Skysports.com understands Portsmouth are weighing up a move for former Manchester United man Quinton Fortune.
Fortune is available on a free transfer after leaving Bolton last summer and he is believed to have caught the eye of Pompey boss Harry Redknapp.
The South African international has struggled with his fitness in the last year after picking up a number of injuries.
Fortune had a trial at Blackburn at the back end of last season and is thought to have impressed during his time at Ewood Park.
Former Blackburn boss Mark Hughes was lining up a move for the 31-year-old this summer, but his departure to Manchester City has left Fortune in limbo.
Fortune is keen to find himself a new club ahead of the season and the player's agent, Hayden Evans has confirmed Portsmouth and Ipswich are just two of several clubs who have expressed an interest in the former Atletico Madrid man.
"Quinton is definitely looking for a club and there is interest from a few sides," Evans told skysports.com.
"Portsmouth have made an enquiry and we are waiting to see what comes of that.
"Ipswich have also shown an interest and there are several others who are keen on Quinton.
"Blackburn are also keeping tabs on Quinton as he impressed there last season and Mark Hughes was lining up an offer for him before he left.
"Quinton is working hard on his fitness and he is an attractive proposition to clubs as he is an experienced and versatile performer."
