Redknapp: Happy with squad
Harry Redknapp has admitted he will only be pursuing loan deals before the close of the transfer window.
The Portsmouth manager fought off competition from six clubs to sign Armand Traore from Arsenal on a season-long deal.
He does not have the funds to buy any more players before next Monday's deadline but is still hoping to bring in at least one new face.
Redknapp is keen to strengthen in a couple of areas and has been linked with Atletico Madrid's Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta.
"We're looking at only loans, really," Redknapp said in The News.
"If I could find someone really good I would get him, but other than that, we're okay.
"We've got a good squad and we've got people coming back fit."
Redknapp played Traore on the left of midfield against Manchester United on Monday and was impressed by his performance on his debut.
"Traore can play anywhere down that left-hand side," said Redknapp.
"He did well and I like him. He's quick and he's got a big future.
"I took a chance and played Sylvain (Distin) at left-back, but he's played there for a fair part of his career.
"It was a balancing act. I thought I'd sit him in there behind the young kid and let Traore play in front of him."
