Dons rebuff Spurs Morgan bid

WIMBLEDON manager Terry Burton has told Glenn Hoddle to forget about luring Lionel Morgan to White Hart Lane.

Spurs have reportedly had a £750,000 bid for the 19-year-old turned down, with Burton describing Morgan as an "amazing talent".

The teenage midfielder has impressed at Selhurst Park this term showing maturity beyond his years and is keen to stay with The Dons and continue his development in Division One.

"The interest was very flattering, but at the moment I am a Wimbledon player wanting regular first-team football," explained Morgan.

"I am happy at Wimbledon. Things are going well at the moment. I am on the verge of the first-team squad and hopefully playing well. Wimbledon is a good club."
