Fulop extends Spireites stay

Chesterfield have extended the loan of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Marton Fulop until the season's end.

The Hungarian Under-21 custodian was due to return to White Hart Lane after Saturday's trip to Port Vale.

However, the former MTK Hungaria keeper will remain at Saltergate until the end of the League One campaign, as the club are still without the services of injured number one Carl Muggleton.

"We are delighted that Marton is to stay with us until the end of the season, as Carl Muggleton still has a niggling groin injury and a sore knee," Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland told the club's official website.

"We have also been able to release reserve goalkeeper Andy Richmond to enable him to get fixed up with another club."
