Berbatov: Urged to stay

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has called on Dimitar Berbatov to make a decision on his future.

Berbatov's future at White Hart Lane has been the subject of intense speculation ever since Martin Jol's departure last month.

The Bulgarian ace issued a statement last week claiming he was happy at Tottenham and was not seeking a move away.

Berbatov produced one of his best performances of the season in Sunday's 4-0 win over Wigan and Ramos hopes the former Bayern Leverkusen man will decide to stay in North London.

Happy

"Dimi has already said he wants to continue in the team. I hope he's happy and he enjoys playing in the team and that we continue to get good results," Ramos told The Sun.

"I hope he will make a decision soon and I hope he will stay.

"His performance was good, in line with that of the team. I think he was magnificent and the team was thankful for it.

"When Berbatov is involved everything becomes more simple and, despite not scoring, he created a lot of chances."
