Diego Forlan's agent has quashed rumours linking the Atletico Madrid striker with a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

Press reports have linked Spurs boss Juande Ramos with a swoop for Forlan, amid claims he could replace Dimitar Berbatov, should the Bulgarian secure a move to Manchester United.

However, Forlan's representative, Daniel Bolotnicoff, is unaware of an approach from Premier League side Tottenham, and insists the 29-year-old is content to remain at Vicente Calderon.

"Forlan is very happy at Atletico," Bolotnicoff told El Mundo.

"I don't know anything about Tottenham's supposed interest and him leaving would be very difficult."

Uruguay international Forlan joined Villarreal from the Red Devils in 2004 before signing for Atletico Madrid last summer.
