Lee Young-pyo has left Tottenham and joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund on a one-year deal.

The South Korea international spent three years at White Hart Lane, but saw his opportunities limited after a string of new arrivals knocked him down the pecking order.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter were all brought in for sizeable fees, forcing Lee out of the first-team fold.

A succession of injuries also hindered his progress, but he can be happy with the impact he made when given a run in the side.

He made 93 appearances in all competitions for the North London club before opting to take up a new challenge in Germany.

"We wish Young-pyo well for the future," read a statement on Tottenham's official website.
