Ramos: Sights on Hull

Under-pressure Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has revealed his relief after progressing to the group stages of the Uefa Cup but he is not getting carried away.

The Spurs manager has come in for criticism this season following his side's disappointing start to their domestic campaign, which has left the Londoners rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.

Ramos experienced some welcome relief on Thursday as his side sneaked past Wisla Krakow in the first round of the Uefa Cup with a nervy 3-2 aggregate success.

However, Ramos is still looking for improvements and has his sights on Sunday's Premier League meeting with Hull.

"At this moment, the important thing is qualification, which is the same (as a win)," he said.

Euphoria

"There was no euphoria, it was just a sense of getting the job done.

"To play another four matches in the competition for the club is very important. Most important now is Hull and we need to get off the bottom quickly.

"I think the team is playing OK. The victory is very good for the team and match-to-match we need to improve.

"Two or three victories and I'm sure the mentality of players will change. It is difficult at the moment.

"We need to play each match like the last. Sunday is a new competition, we play Hull and we need to win."
