Almeria technical secretary Alberto Benito insists that Tottenham target Kalu Uche is not for sale unless the club receive a 'very big offer'.

Spurs reportedly sent scouts to watch the 26-year-old last season but any thoughts of landing the player on the cheap have been quashed by the Spaniards.

The Nigerian international has spent three successful seasons with Almeria but a move to the Premier League may be too good to turn down.

However the Primera Liga outfit are determined not to lose another key player, after Real Madrid elected to exercise their right to buy-back star striker Alvaro Negredo in June.

"Uche is a key player in our team and the club are going to do anything to keep him," Benito told AS.

"Only a very big offer could change our mind, even if we would assess every aspect of the operation.

"For the moment, he is not going anywhere."
