Ledley King is tipping Younes Kaboul to become a huge success at Tottenham.

The French stopper has returned to White Hart Lane from Portsmouth.

Kaboul originally moved to Spurs in 2007, but after just one season in North London he was sold to Portsmouth.

Since his move, Kaboul has reignited his career and was one of the Premier League's most sought after defenders in January.

Tottenham won the race to re-sign him and King is now looking for Kaboul to continue his improvement back at Spurs.

"I've spent time with him before and we spoke about him becoming a better player and concentrating," said King.

"I'm sure that's going to happen. All young players make mistakes, especially in defence. But it's down to us as a team to nurture his talent because he has fantastic ability.

"I've seen him this season and he has done well. He can be one of the great defenders around if he works hard and improves."

Ruthless

Spurs drew 0-0 with Aston Villa at the weekend and King has called on his team-mates to be more ruthless.

"There have been times at home when we haven't put teams away. Teams make it difficult for us. They put a lot of bodies behind the ball, it's up to us to break them down," he said.

"Teams have come here and kept us out or nicked goals against us when we've had all the play. We expect that at home and it's going to be like that until the end of the season. If we can score the first goal, the game opens up and we can pick teams off."
