Younes Kaboul hopes Tottenham's strength in depth will prove decisive in the closing stages of the season as captain Ledley King prepares for at least another two weeks on the sidelines.

Spurs are involved in a fierce fight for fourth place in the Premier League and, as they get ready for Saturday's home meeting with Blackburn, Harry Redknapp's men currently occupy the sought-after position.

But as the make-or-break period of the season arrives, Tottenham will be without King as the injury-hit defender is still recovering from a thigh muscle tear sustained at Wigan on 21st February.

Kaboul is therefore well aware that Redknapp will need to use all of his squad in the next couple of months, especially in April when Spurs face back-to-back league games against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

"It's good to have a lot of players because when there are a lot of games you can change things around," said the Frenchman, who has only started one game since returning to White Hart Lane from Portsmouth in January.

"Of course, only 11 can play so that means you have to fight every day in training to play at the weekend and I'm ready for that."
