Robert Snodgrass has revealed that he turned down a summer move to Blackburn Rovers in favour of signing professional terms with Livingston.
The youngster caught the eye coming through Livi's youth ranks, with Rovers one of a number of teams to express interest.
It would appear as if Rovers went as far as offering the young forward a deal, but the 17-year-old opted to stay at Almondvale.
"I had the chance to go down south when I moved off my 'S' Form and there were a few clubs interested," he told The Scotsman. "Blackburn were the ones who were most keen but I wanted to stay where I was.
"Blackburn told me if I wasn't happy I could pick the phone up at any time, but I decided to stick with Livingston."
The decision seems set to bear fruit, as he was handed his SPL debut at the weekend and in so doing became the youngest player ever to represent the club at the top level.
