Blackburn have turned down a bid from Fulham for Jason Roberts.

Roberts is thought to be considering his future at Ewood Park as he ponders a move to London because of personal reasons.

The news alerted Fulham and Lawrie Sanchez is believed to have offered £2.5million for the former Wigan striker as he looks to add to his attacking options for the coming season.

Blackburn have rejected the bid out of hand as they look to keep hold of Roberts after he impressed at the back end of last term.

It remains to be seen if Fulham will improve their offer for Roberts as they look to add to the signing of Aaron Hughes this summer.
