Tugay has penned his new one-year contract at Blackburn.

The 37-year-old Turk has become a legendary figure at Ewood Park after joining from Rangers in 2001.

The veteran midfielder was considering hanging up his boots - but he has now agreed a new deal.

He will also take on some coaching duties as part of his new role but he will concentrate on playing for at least another 12 months.
