Blackburn have been punished by the Football Association for failure to control their players.

The charge relates to Rovers' Premier League fixture away at Newcastle on 1st March.

A regulatory commission fined the club £10,000, of which £7,500 was suspended until 31st May 2009.

The club were found guilty of failing to ensure that their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and have been warned that any repeat of the ugly scenes in the future will not be tolerated.
