Stoke are keen on Blackburn star Aaron Mokoena, skysports.com understands.

The South African international, who recently became his country's most capped player, is determined to secure regular first-team football this season.

Mokoena is now waiting to see where he figures in the plans of new Rovers boss Paul Ince.

However, Stoke are already believed to have made a tentative move about taking the 27-year-old - who is at home in central midfield or defence.

Mokoena has also been linked with a move to Manchester City to link up with his former boss Mark Hughes, whilst Rangers, Ajax and Schalke have also been credited with an interest.
