Blackburn manager Paul Ince has set his sights on reaching the Carling Cup final after drawing Sunderland in the fourth round.

Ince will lock horns against his former Manchester United team-mate Roy Keane after Blackburn were handed a trip to the Stadium of Light in the last 16.

Ince insists he will be taking the Carling Cup seriously as it offers a route into Europe.

"It is a very important competition for us, we all want to play at Wembley," said Ince.

"It is a road to get into Europe so yes it is important. The bread and butter is the Premier League and you've always to make sure from the start that you get the points to stay in it.

"But on the other side of the coin if we can have a nice run in a cup then course we want to go all the way. But there are another 16 teams probably saying the same thing."
