Carew: On form
Norway boss Age Hareide has named three Premier League players in his squad for the World Cup qualifying double-header with Scotland and Holland.
Aston Villa striker John Carew, Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen and Fulham defender Brede Hangeland have all been included by Hareide as Norway look to bounce back after drawing their opening qualifier against Iceland.
Brann Bergen winger Erik Huseklepp has also received his first call-up to the full international scene, while goalkeeper Jon Knudsen is expected to make his debut at the age of 33 against Scotland on 11th October.
And former Manchester City and Norwich defender Hareide is looking forward to the trip to Hampden Park before facing Holland four days later.
"I love arenas like Hampden, I did as a player and I do as a coach," he said.
"The Scottish fans never give up and also applaud the opponents if they play well. For a player who copes with the atmosphere, this is the perfect place to play.
"This is a very important game for us. We lost two points against Iceland and have to win points now."
