Preston have signed Blackburn defender Eddie Nolan on an emergency loan deal.
Nolan joins the Championship hopefuls on a three-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
The 20-year-old failed to make the breakthrough at Ewood Park and made one appearance in the first-team in the Uefa Cup against Nancy in 2006.
North End boss Allan Irvine has been chasing Nolan for some time and he add options to his squad as he can play at centre-back and right-back.
