Blackburn defender Stephen Warnock admits training ground bust-ups are a part of life at Ewood Park but he believes it makes the team stronger.

Rovers' preparations for Sunday's trip to Portsmouth have been disrupted by training-ground rows, but Warnock says it is only because the players are passionate about improving.

William Gallas was criticised for lifting the lid on what happens at Arsenal, but Warnock says he would not have it any other way.

Warnock told the Daily Express: "I don't think it would be a training ground if there weren't bust-ups. It's part and parcel of football and it shows people you care.

"If you don't care you don't have arguments. You've got to have them to set things right and get things out in the open.

"That's how you make the team better and make the team stronger."

Warnock says the arguments are forgotten immediately and he believes that with so many experienced internationals in the squad, there will always be disagreements and constructive criticism.

Warnock admits the players expect better from each other and he says they refuse to sit back and accept what is happening.

"It won't stop because there are too many strong players within the squad. It's important that the lads stick together."
