Sam Allardyce felt Howard Webb did his side no favours during Blackburn's 3-1 defeat at Tottenham.
The final scoreline suggests Spurs were commanding victors at White Hart Lane, but that was far from the case.
Both sides struggled to create clear-cut opportunities, with the game decided by the finest of margins.
Tottenham took their chances, while Rovers felt they were denied the opportunity to stamp their authority on proceedings by the match officials.
Allardyce believes his side were denied at least two penalties, while he was also at a loss to explain why Nikola Kalinic saw a late thunderbolt ruled out.
"If you look at the decisions made today against Blackburn Rovers by Howard Webb, the first one I think is the most blatant, the tackle by (Vedran) Corluka on (David) Dunn, he goes straight across the ball and gets the player," Allardyce told Sky Sports.
"I then feel (Sebastien) Bassong is all over (Christopher) Samba on the long throw, so we were looking at at least one penalty first half, if not two.
"We then get the best goal of the day ruled out for a so-called handball. For me it's not handball, it's hit him on the arm. If you look at it again he can't even see where the ball is because (Michael) Dawson has hit him in the back.
"We probably still wouldn't have won the game because there wasn't long left, but to rule out a goal like that for that decision is disappointing to say the least. We are bitterly disappointed with our defending and we are bitterly disappointed with those decisions."
As mentioned, Allardyce felt his players were their own worst enemies at times, gifting Spurs all three of their goals.
"I think we played a really good game," he said.
"It's always important to see your players play well and I think we have played well. But I think we have to look at ourselves and look at our defending on the goals and say if we do the basics correctly.
"It's not Tottenham's great ability it's our poor defending that has cost us the game."
Meanwhile, Allardyce confirmed Paul Robinson, who has been rumoured to be in England World Cup contention, is set to undergo tests after the goalkeeper sustained a calf injury at White Hart Lane.
Allardyce told Blackburn's official website: "It's not clever, he has a calf injury.
"We'll have to have the calf scanned as soon as we can to see the extent of the tear and then see how long it would take to repair that and get him fit and well."
Allardyce could re-call Mark Bunn or Frank Fielding from loan spells with Sheffield United and Rochdale, respectively, in the wake of Robinson's injury.
He said: "We'll have to have a look at that and obviously take that up next week and see where and who we should call, whether it be Bunn or Fielding."

Dear Sam, Stop being a bad loser, Mr Webb did not give Bale 2 clear penalties ( he did not give a yellow for diving!!!) so the fouls on him were correct. Adding to that Mr coach did you see how Samba climbed allover Dawson to score the goal and that should have been disallowed, please watch it again and tell me your calaims are correct. Nasr Farag

Big Sam neglects to mention the most glaring mistake Webb made which was the blantant penalty Spurs should've had after Selgado brought down Bale though!!

Tony Neal (Tottenham Hotspur fan) says...
Sam forgets to mention the blatent penalty against Bale ( possibly two penalyies ) and the clear climbing on the back of Dawson by Samba for Blacburn's goal. Webb made some really poor decisions against both teams - but even though they were very average today Spurs were worthy winners.

The Truth (Blackburn Rovers fan) says...
Trust the media to try and wrongly suggest that Webb favours Spurs when he denied them two penalties today and wrongly allowed a Blackburn goal, as well as not giving Spurs penalties against Chelsea/Liverpool and wrongly disallowing a Defoe goal against Liverpool and of course wrongly giving Man Utd a penalty in April
