Hull have signed Aston Villa's American international goalkeeper Brad Guzan on a month's loan.
The Aston Villa keeper is currently understudy to fellow countryman Brad Friedel and has been limited to a handful of appearances since joining the club in 2008.
Now he is set to get the chance of first-team football with Hull in the Championship. Guzan, 26, will go straight into the squad to face Tigers manager Nigel Pearson's former club Leicester on New Year's Day.
The Tigers had Vito Mannone on loan from Arsenal, but he has suffered a thigh injury which has ruled him out for at least a month.
It is also thought that Pearson is looking to bring in another goalkeeper in January to add further competition.
