Papiss Demba Cisse is not frustrated at being denied his wish of a move away from Freiburg this summer.
The Senegal international was reportedly the subject of a failed deadline-day bid from Newcastle, while Tottenham and Sunderland have in the past been credited with an interest.
It has also been claimed Freiburg's Bundesliga rivals, Wolfsburg, held talks with Cisse, who scored 22 top-flight goals last season and has added four more this campaign.
But Freiburg maintained their star man was not for sale and are preparing to offer a new contract and pay-rise to replace the remaining three years of his current deal.
And Cisse insists there are no hard feelings, as he told BILD: "Staying on at Freiburg is no reason for me to feel frustrated.
"I am not looking back. I am attempting to start every match in the same mood as I always do. I am trying to make sure the team is successful."
Freiburg manager Marcus Sorg expects Cisse to maintain 100 per cent effort when the club return to action against Bayern Munich on Saturday following the international break.
Sorg said: "Papiss will not be downcast. He loves playing football and also he knows that the club does not deserve to be abandoned."
In his 18 months at Freiburg, Cisse has scored 32 goals in 52 Bundesliga appearances.
