Vagner Love has confirmed that CSKA Moscow have shunned a bid from Manchester City for his services.

Love and team-mate Jo have both been targeted by City for a January move to Eastlands - but Sven Goran Eriksson has had little success in trying to land either with CSKA insistent they want them to remain.

"At the end of last year, there was an offer form Manchester City, but the transfer did not take place because CSKA president Yevgeny Giner did not feel the offer was right for me," Love told Sport Express.

"I love Russia, I have excellent relations here and I love the club. I am satisfied with everything here."

Staying

Love insists that he will only leave CSKA when the time is right.

"CKSA, in my opinion, is a great club and amongst the continent's leading teams," he said.

"I am confident CSKA will just get better and better. If you do go to a new club then you have to make sure your working conditions are better and financially they are no worse."

Love is open to where he might go next in his career, admitting he could play in England, Italy or Spain.
