Dunne: Wants Uefa win
Manchester City captain Richard Dunne insists the club can mount a big European challenge this season.
Dunne leads City into their season opener on Thursday evening as they face Farie Islands side EB/Streymur in the first qualifying round of the Uefa Cup.
Despite only getting into Europe via the Fair Play League, Dunne is confident City can go a long way.
"I have never been to the Faroes before and all of us are looking forward to the game and this competition," said Dunne.
"A European run is something we have been looking for at this club over the last few years.
"Now we are here we do not intend to waste the opportunity. We have got a chance to progress and push on as a club, but we have to be very professional about this and make sure we do not slip up here.
"It will be a tough game because it is such a big occasion for them. They will have everything to play for and we have to be careful.
"But we are here to win and we want to get through these early rounds.
"We will be very disappointed if we do not win here."
