Caicedo: Wants to play regularly
Felipe Caicedo says he is still waiting for Mark Hughes to decide if he is in Manchester City's plans for next season.
Hughes' pursuit of new strikers has led to speculation that Ecuador international Caicedo could be moved on during the transfer window.
City have already signed Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers, are tipped to bring in Carlos Tevez and are also chasing Barcelona ace Samuel Eto'o.
That could lead to departures from City, and Caicedo has been attracting interest from Premier League rivals West Ham and Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
Caicedo is eager to play more regularly during the coming campaign after scoring four times in 17 league appearances last term.
He appears open to a move to Sporting, but wants an answer from Hughes about his prospects of regularly involvement with City.
"City have still not said anything to me about my future, but I have not changed my decision," Caicedo told Record.
"I want to play more minutes and the challenge of the Champions League would be excellent for me.
"Sporting Lisbon would be a good alternative for if I am not in the plans of Hughes for next season.
"I can say that Sporting have contacted my agents, but now it is necessary to have a clear choice about me."
