Lazio manager Edy Reja is hoping defender Aleksandar Kolarov's future will be resolved soon.

The 24-year-old left-back has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League side Manchester City in recent months, and reports over the weekend suggested a fee had been agreed by the two clubs.

Kolarov, a Serbia international, has a buy-out clause with the Serie A outfit of €22.5million (£19m), and Reja wants the situation to be decided as soon as possible.

"For over a month he has been linked with a move away from Lazio but nothing has happened," he said.

"I hope a decision will be taken soon.

"It's clear that if he leaves, I will need to find an alternative player for that position."

Kolarov is under contract with the Biancocelesti until June 2011, and any move to City could put the future of Wayne Bridge in jeopardy.
