Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed Alan Hutton and Kyle Naughton are set for loan moves away from White Hart Lane before the close of the transfer window.

Sunderland have targeted a move for Hutton as they look to solve their problematic right-back spot.

As revealed by skysports.com over the weekend, Middlesbrough are hoping to bring in young defender Naughton on loan until the end of the season as Gordon Strachan continues his reshaping of the squad at the Riverside.

Hutton is believed to be undergoing a medical on Wearside ahead of a loan deal at the Stadium of Light after Black Cats boss Steve Bruce turned his attentions to the Scotland international following failures to land his other targets.

Former Rangers defender Hutton has failed to nail down a regular spot in the Tottenham side with Vedran Corluka ahead of him in the pecking order and he is keen to move on in search of regular first-team action.

Redknapp is also prepared to let Naughton go out on loan as he is well down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and Middlesbrough are set to beat off interest from a number of other Championship clubs to sign the former Sheffield United star.

Asked about any possible business at White Hart Lane, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "There are maybe one or two things going on. I think Alan Hutton has gone up to Sunderland today on loan.

"Kyle Naughton might be going to Middlesbrough on loan."
