Kevin Thomson has again reiterated his desire to extend his Rangers deal after being linked with a move to Middlesbrough.

The 25-year-old has a year left on his Ibrox contract and he fears the club's financial situation could force him to move on.

Gordon Strachan's Boro have been tipped to bid for the ex-Hibs man, but he is not looking to leave the Light Blues anytime soon.

Thomson believes Gers are the best club in the world and is hoping to extend his deal if anything, not leaves for pastures new.

Fate

"My fate is out of my own hands to a certain extent," he told the Daily Record.

"I have a year left on my contract but I have stated numerous times that I would love to sign a new deal and that I see my future lying here.

"I love this club and I love being here - for me it's the best club in the world.

"I hope the banks aren't going to force the situation and tell me that I need to move on."
