Middlesbrough have allowed Andrew Taylor and Jonathan Grounds to leave the club on loan for Watford and Hibernian, respectively.

Left-back Taylor, who has just returned from a lengthy injury, has now joined the Hornets until January.

He is the second Boro player to move to Vicarage Road in the last few weeks after Josh Walker completed a free transfer move.

Boro boss Gordon Strachan has also allowed Grounds to leave the club on a similar deal.

Grounds, who only signed a new deal in the summer, has joined Scottish Premier League outfit Hibernian.

Grounds, who can play left-back or centre-half, has moved on after Boro signed Matthew Kilgallon from Sunderland earlier this month.
