Antti Niemi's agent has rubbished talk that his client is set to sign for Hull City, but he is ready to quit Fulham.

Richard Cody has confirmed that although the Finnish international is ready to leave Fulham - nothing has been agreed.

Niemi acknowledges that his time at Craven Cottage is all but over after they signed Mark Schwarzer from Middlesbrough.

"Antti will be looking for another club, he is not going to play understudy to anyone at this stage of his career," Cody told skysports.com.

"We are now discussing the situation to see what the best solution for Antti will be.

"The thing for us now is that we have to hope that Fulham will be reasonable.

"Antti has loved his time at Fulham, the fans have always been fantastic with him - but he wants and needs to be playing."

Hull denial

Niemi has already been linked with moves away from the club - but Cody has dismissed the most recent speculation suggesting Hull were ready to do a deal.

"It is absolute nonsense," he said.

"I have a very good relationship with Hull and also Phil Brown - who I have known since he was playing at Blackpool.

"He has not spoken to me about Antti and so there is no interest there as far as I am concerned."
