Davis: Rangers target
Fulham have made it clear that they will not let Steven Davis leave on the cheap this summer.
The Northern Ireland international struggled to make an impact at Craven Cottage last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at SPL giants Rangers.
The Gers are keen to take the midfielder to Scotland on a permanent basis and have already seen an offer knocked back by the Cottagers.
It is thought that Fulham are keen to recoup the £4million they paid to Aston Villa last summer, and are refusing to waver from that stand point.
It remains to be seen whether Rangers will return with an improved bid for Davis but Roy Hodgson insists that, should the player stay, he remains part of his first-team plans.
"I know Rangers are interested in buying him and they have made bids which, so far, we have not found acceptable," he said in the Daily Mail.
"He will only leave if a club matches our valuation.
The former Internazionale boss added: "Every player has his price but, as far as we are concerned, Steven is still part of our squad and he will be welcomed back here."
