Quotes of the week
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson insists the club are working 'behind the scenes' to bring new signings to Craven Cottage.
Hodgson has already completed the free transfers of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and West Brom forward Zoltan Gera and he is keen for further reinforcements.
The Cottagers narrowly avoided Premier League relegation last season with a final day victory over Portsmouth and Hodgson, who joined the club in December 2007, is eager to bolster his squad to avoid a repeat performance.
Hodgson recognises that a number of clubs have been quiet in the summer transfer market, but he is hopeful Fulham will soon add to the arrivals of Schwarzer and Gera.
"The signings in terms of transfer fees have not been costly," Hodgson told Sky Sports News.
"But I would suggest that Mark Schwarzer and Zoltan Gera are two very good quality players and we, at Fulham, have been able to persuade them that their futures lie here.
"We have other transfer targets on the market.
"It has been quiet, but that doesn't mean that clubs out there don't have targets and are not working behind the scenes.
"We, like others, are working behind the scenes to try and bring in the players we have identified."
Rosenborg defender Fredrik Stoor and Hertha Berlin defender Josip Simunic, who was a member of Croatia's Euro 2008 squad, have both recently been linked with a move to Fulham.
