Andranik Teymourian has expressed his delight at the way he has settled in at Fulham.

The Iran international moved to Craven Cottage on a free transfer earlier in the summer following his release from Bolton.

He believes he has already impressed manager Roy Hodgson after an accomplished display in Saturday's friendly victory over Celtic.

"I played 45 minutes and Roy Hodgson expressed his satisfaction with my performance during a chat I had with him after the match had ended," the 25 year-old told ISNA.

"I play the role of the defensive midfielder in the 4-4-2 system and have more defensive duties than Danny Murphy.

"I think I played well in that game as well. After that game Hodgson was very happy with my display."

Although Teymourian has not been issued a squad number yet, he is hoping he could make the number six jersey his own.

"I have been wearing number six in the training sessions and in friendly matches," he explained.

"Most likely I'll be wearing the same number in the Premier League. This number is a special one."
