In humid conditions Fulham fell to a 1-0 defeat against Korean side Busan l'Park.

Roy Hodgson used the friendly game in the Asiad Main Stadium to cast his eye over a number of new signings, as David Stockdale, John Pantsil, Andranik and Bobby Zamora all started in a 4-4-2 formation.

It was the home side that started the brighter as Fulham found themselves on the back foot, with Kim Seung Hyun's close range shot blocked by Leon Andreasen.

Hyun went even closer later in the first half when he crashed a header against the bar, as Fulham failed to defend a Busan corner, before Lee Cook sent a left foot drive wide.

Zamora squandered a chance to grab his first goal in white after bright build-up play involving David Healy, while Sung Yo twice threatened Stockdale's goal.

Fulham went close a couple of times through Healy and a Danny Murphy free-kick, as Seol Ki-Hyeon impressed his compatriots with a bright display down the flanks.

Trialist goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler came on at half-time for Fulham, only to be beaten in the 57th minute as Choi Ki Suk's deflected shot from the edge of the box proved decisive.

Substitute Eddie Johnson went close to finding a leveller, as did Toni Kallio in the game's last minute, but it was the home side that held on for a 1-0 win.
