Johnson: Seeking London switch
Sky Sports News understands that Andrew Johnson is undergoing a medical at Fulham.
The Everton striker has attracted attention from a host of clubs this summer, with Wigan making no secret of their admiration for the England international.
However, the former Crystal Palace man is believed to favour a move back to the capital, citing family reasons as the motive behind his decision.
There had been rumours that he was in London to discuss personal terms with Fulham last week, after he left Everton's pre-season friendly with Preston before the game had got underway.
Everton were quick to deny that the forward was set for an imminent exit, but would appear to have now bowed to the player's wishes.
It is thought that Fulham are willing to pay between £10-12million for a player who has eight caps for his country.
Johnson joined Everton in the summer of 2006 and has helped the Toffees secure Uefa Cup football in each of the two seasons he has spent on Merseyside.

Does nobody read the article properly? He has stated a return to London for family reasons. Are Sunderland and Wigan part of London? I'm sorry it has'nt worked out for him as he always gave 110%. I spoke with Waggy and Inchy last Sept and they said AJ & the Yak would not work as a partnership. Sounds like Moyes wanted him to stay, but it's no good keeping unhappy players (take note utd. fans). M Owen has not signed a new deal at newcastle yet. Still has his mansion in N. Wales, erm, seems like a good rumour to start!

Yakubu's tap in's aren't going to happen without Andy's effort. So I think it's brilliant move!! Except for Mr Johnson of course, who's going to spend his last season in the premiership & never wear an England shirt again...

Gutted! I can't believe with our small, overworked squad that Moyes has sanctioned the sale of AJ(only our 2nd Enland international). This is like a flashback to when we sold Rooney, if your face doesn't fit with Moyes, off you go. I hope Moyes and the board have several big name players ready to sign and are not just trying to be a little too clever. Kenright needs to realise that to compete in europe and the premiership you need to spend big money, not just hope to find bargains in the lower divisions. Evertonians need to panic now, I am.

Fulham will have a much better squad than either Everton or Sunderland. Sunderland have only spent money on Spurs's bench players.Everton have become a selling club to finance a new stadium.

Everyone seems to think Fulham are going down... Not a chance... they are gonna be the dark horses this season... mark my words... You're all be eating yours... & your remember back to reading this message... "That random bloke called Dan was right about Fulham"

He's making a big mistake leaving Everton. I'm sure he can do better than joining a club just because its in London, why leave a team that is consistently challenging for a place in the Top 4 for the last 2 or 3 seasons!?... Fulham or Sunderland are relegation scrappers. If you're gonna leave Everton join a decent team, if Arsenal didn't have so many strikers that wouldn't be a bad purchase. If Ade leaves not a bad bargain plus he's english. My niggle about AJ is that he never looks up when charging down on goal as there was so many occasions his pace would open up a defense but he wouldn't look up & pass to a team mate. But Arsene Wenger could make him great. But he'd never come to the Arsenal we wanted him years back & he turned us down along with Palace wanting £18 million?...

It's a shame to see AJ go, I honestly think he can do much better than Fulham/Wigan/Sunderland. All three are relegation fodder.

Stephen Green (Everton fan) says...
Why would AJ even consider Fulham or Sunderland?!! He is in a quality side that are challenging for European trophies - why would he want to be part of a relegation scrap? He is shooting himself in the foot! Say bye bye to the England career Mr Johnson!

Please tell me Moyes has at least 4 very good players lined up and ready to sign in the next week?! We had too small a squad last season but so far, all we have done this season (if Johnson goes to Fulham) is let go 2 of our best players with Carsley going as well. I have much faith in Moyes so I'm sure he won't disappoint, he hasn't done to date

Good bit of business if we actually get all the money to spend on players.......our squad is too small for an attack on 4th place and cup competitions

A bargain, he is worth more than Robbie Keane!

I can't believe that Johnson is choosing Fulham over Sunderland! We're by far the better team out of the two! Fulham to go down this season and Sunderland to finish 10th! Higher would be better but that's an improvement on last season.
