Sheffield United's on-loan wide man David Cotterill admits he does not know where his long-term future lies.

The 20-year-old Wales international has recaptured some of his best form in recent weeks after arriving on loan from Wigan in February.

Wigan manager Steve Bruce allowed Cotterill to leave on a three-month loan after making just four first-team appearances for the Latics this season.

Final decision

"I wanted to be playing regularly and hopefully I can continue to perform until the end of the season here at the Lane.

"Steve Bruce wanted me to get some games under my belt, although he said I still had a future at the JJB Stadium.

"Antonio Valencia has been in great form this season, so it will be interesting to see if I could get a chance there, but Wigan will ultimately make the final decision."
