Bruce: Hammers trip
Wigan open the new Premier League season with a trip to West Ham United on 16th August.
Latics fans then have a mouth-watering home clash to look forward to, with Chelsea travelling to the JJB Stadium on 23rd August.
December looks to be a tough month for Steve Bruce's side, with away games at Arsenal, Manchester United and Bolton, and home encounters with Blackburn and Newcastle.
Sir Alex Ferguson's Red Devils, who clinched the title with victory at the JJB last term, will return on 18th April.
And the curtain will come down on Wigan's 2008/09 Premier League season with a home game against Portsmouth on 24th May.
