Amr Zaki is expected to become a Wigan Athletic player on Monday after passing his medical.

The Egyptian striker has agreed a season-long loan move to the JJB Stadium from current club Zamalek.

He has been in England to undergo a medical and his agent Mohamed Saied anticipates the contracts to be signed after the weekend.

"Zaki will return home on Saturday after passing the medical," his agent Mohamed Saied told www.filgoal.com.

"He will pen his Wigan contract on Monday.

"The club will then hold a press conference to reveal the full details of the deal."

Wigan have the option to make the move permanent and Zaki will become the club's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Daniel De Ridder and Olivier Kapo.
