Camara: Uncertain future
I didn't realise he was coming back to us. I thought he had gone.
Bruce on Camara
Quotes of the week
Steve Bruce has admitted he faces a difficult decision over whether to keep Henri Camara.
The Senegalese striker is back in training with the Latics after spending most of last season on loan at West Ham.
Bruce has yet to see Camara in action for Wigan and concedes that he even thought the player had left the club.
With Amr Zaki set to complete a move to the JJB Stadium over the coming days, it seems Camara may be surplus to requirements when the new season gets underway.
However, Bruce rates the 31-year-old highly and has yet to decide what to do with him.
"It's a difficult one regards Henri," the manager told the Wigan Evening Post.
"I have to be honest, I didn't realise he was coming back to us. I thought he had gone.
"But he's part of the squad and I'll sit down with him over the next few weeks to see what his plans are.
"He got 12 league goals in his first season here which takes some doing in the Premier League, that shows he has something."
