Mike Pollitt believes that Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki has been the 'find of the season'.

Egyptian ace Zaki joined Wigan on a season-long loan from El Zamalek and has made an immediate impact in the Premier League.

His double in Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Liverpool took his tally to seven in eight League appearances and he tops the scoring charts.

Zaki's impressive form has also seen him linked with Liverpool, while El Zamalek have claimed that Manchester City have shown an interest.

Outstanding

Wigan keeper Pollitt has been hugely impressed by Zaki and has praised the way the 25-year-old has adapted to English football.

"He's been nothing short of outstanding," Pollitt told Sky Sports News.

"He has come in to a different culture and he's took to it, no problem.

"He is the top scorer in the Premiership and has done exceptionally well. He's looking like the find of the season."
