Scotland: No agreement in place
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins insists there is no agreement in place which allows Wigan to be kept informed of developments regarding Jason Scotland.
New Latics manager and former Swans chief Roberto Martinez is believed to be keen on bringing the 30-year-old with him to the JJB Stadium.
Burnley are said to be another team interested in the Trinidad and Tobago international but Jenkins reveals the club are yet to receive an offer for their prize asset.
Scotland, signed by Martinez from St Johnstone in May 2007, has scored 53 goals in his two seasons in Wales - 24 of which came in his inaugural season in the Championship last term.
"It doesn't exist," he told the Wigan Observer. "I would never agree to that.
"We still have had no written offer from any club for Jason Scotland, and not even verbal interest from Wigan.
"I have had no conversation from anyone at Wigan for the last four or five days. We have had interest from Burnley, but no written offer.
"Jason is back next week, and his first job will be to meet our new manager."
Following the wrangling over Martinez over the past month Jenkins revealed that the Swans would be happy to do business with the Latics again in the future, but only if it proved to be good deal for them.
"We would be willing to deal with anybody," he added. "But obviously our priority is what is best for our club and that's it.
"We want to keep all our best players at the club."
