Nice midfielder Kafoumba Coulibaly has expressed his desire to move to England.
The 24-year-old has recently returned from injury and been linked with Premier League sides Fulham and Wigan.
According to various reports in France and Coulibaly's native Ivory Coast, he is close to joining countrymen Aruna Dindane, Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Eboue, Salomon Kalou and Kolo Toure in the English top flight.
An Academy product of the famous ASEC Mimosas club in his homeland, Coulibaly had stints in Belgium and Thailand before joining French Ligue 2 outfit Bastia in 2007.
The one-cap international did enough to earn a move to Nice and caught the eye with a string of impressive performances in Ligue 1 last term.
"Clubs have been looking at me since last season before my injury," Coulibaly told skysports.com.
"I had a hamstring problem and tore it when I wanted to make a comeback.
"Now I'm fine, though, and hopefully I can stay fit for the African Nations Cup and World Cup.
"To be linked with a move to the Premier League is fantastic and hopefully I can play there one day."
Coulibaly has now returned to Nice's starting line-up and featured in the recent home wins over Lyon and Le Mans.
"I'm just back from injury and I'm feeling fine," he added.
"The games were very difficult for me but I'm fine and I'll be better with the more games I play.
"I have not played for the last five months so it was a bit difficult for match sharpness but I'm getting there."
