Sheffield United have completed the £500,000 signing of Watford striker Danny Webber.

The talented former Manchester United starlet spent the close of last season on loan at Bramall Lane and impressed sufficiently for Blades boss Neil Warnock to pursue a permanent deal.

Webber's signature becomes the third of a busy pre-season for United - with deals having already been agreed for Lilian Nalis and Paul Ifill.

Warnock expects Webber, 25-years-old, to be a key player in the club's push for The Premiership next term.

"I'm so pleased that Danny has finally signed," Warnock told the club's official website.

"There have been other clubs asking about him whilst he has been on loan with us. But he said from the start that he wanted to come here permanently and I'm delighted to finally settle the matter.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him in a rich vein of form after a good pre-season with us."
