Richardson: Keeping Kerry for rest of season

United midfielder Lloyd Kerry is to stay on loan at Chesterfield until the end of the season.

Kerry signed an initial one-month deal with the Spireites in February which expired after Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Rotherham.

However, Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson has reached an agreement with the Blades to keep the 19-year-old for the rest of the campaign.

"I am really pleased to be able to extend my loan spell at Saltergate," said Kerry.

Kerry, who was also loaned out to Torquay last season, was allowed to link up with Chesterfield after failing to break into the Sheffield United side.

He has so far made six appearances for Richardson's side and scored two goals in the 4-1 home win against Lincoln.
