McIndoe: Close to Blades switch
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson expects midfielder Michael McIndoe to complete his move to Sheffield United in the next few days.
The 29-year-old has been in discussions with the Blades while the rest of the Robins squad returned for pre-season training earlier this week.
The former Doncaster ace made the most league appearances for City last term but a move to Bramall Lane now seems a certainty.
However, Johnson revealed that he was close to agreeing a deal to bring an unnamed player in the opposite direction.
"Macca is talking to Sheffield United, he hasn't been training with us," he said.
"I expect that deal will go through in the next couple of days, but that's all I can say at this stage."
With regard to the possible incoming transfer, Johnson added: "We've agreed terms with him and he now has to decide whether he wants to come here, or take a lucrative deal from abroad."
