Charlton winger Dorian Smith is being chased by a number of League One and Two clubs, skysports.com understands.

The Addicks signed the highly-rated winger in the January transfer window when they beat a number of clubs to agree a deal with Tooting and Mitcham United.

As part of the deal Charlton allowed Smith to remain on loan at Tooting and Mitcham, whilst training with them during the week.

The initial contract for Smith was only until the end of the season and manager Alan Pardew has now decided that the youngster is surplus to his requirements.

Now a number of lower league clubs are ready to take a chance on Smith, who has earned rave reviews in the past 12 months.

Brighton, Leyton Orient, Peterborough and Huddersfield are all thought to be keen, whilst in League Two, Darlington and Chesterfield have been strongly linked.
