Bournemouth have brought in Charlton Athletic winger Scott Wagstaff on a one-month loan deal.

Wagstaff made his first start for Charlton in the Carling Cup defeat to Yeovil last week and has been allowed to join Bournemouth to build up his experience.

The 18-year-old trained with Kevin Bond's side on Monday and is looking forward to his stint with the League Two club.

"I want to get some first-team experience and play some games," Wagstaff told the club's official website.

Good challenge

"Alan Pardew spoke to me about the move and said he wanted me to go out and see what league football is all about. If I'm playing it will change my game as it's a different type of football.

"I thought pre-season went really well, but I was disappointed with my performance against Yeovil and disappointed we got knocked out the cup.

"It should be a good challenge, so we'll see what happens.

"Hopefully if I do well and impress the gaffer Kevin Bond and the staff down there, it will be extended. We'll just have to wait and see."
